About FWCWL

The Florida West Coast Winter League (FWCWL) is ICAT's flagship cricket competition, running from October through April each year. This premier league showcases the highest level of recreational cricket in the Tampa Bay area.

With 14 teams competing across two balanced groups, the FWCWL features a comprehensive format that includes group stage matches followed by an exciting playoff system. The league attracts talented cricketers from across Central Florida, creating a competitive and engaging cricket environment.

Each season, teams battle for not only the championship title but also individual honors including Most Runs Scored, Most Wickets Taken, and Player of the Season awards. The league maintains professional standards with qualified umpires, detailed statistics tracking, and comprehensive match reporting.

The FWCWL serves as a perfect platform for cricket enthusiasts to showcase their skills, build lasting friendships, and contribute to the growing cricket community in Florida. League Format

How the FWCWL competition works

Group Stage

14 teams divided into two balanced groups. Teams play round-robin matches within their groups to earn points and qualify for playoffs.

Playoffs

Top teams from each group advance to elimination playoffs culminating in the championship final. Exciting knockout format determines the champion.

Points System

Comprehensive points system rewards wins, competitive losses, and individual performances. Fair and transparent scoring encourages quality cricket.

Awards

Season-end awards recognize outstanding individual performances including Most Runs, Most Wickets, and Player of the Season honors.
